Description
Martha H. Cawley (American, born circa 1940) lives in eastern Pennsylvania, and is especially known for her prints and sculpture of animals.
Condition note: all of the woodcuts in this series show a faint yellow haze behind the image. We believe this is oil from the printing ink, that leached into the paper over the decades. There is no evidence that these prints have ever been framed or exposed to prolonged light. There is no yellowing from acid. The paper surface shows small areas of faint rippling from the printing process. There are no tears or creases from subsequent handling.
